This auction is located in Austin, TX this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Don’t miss out! The furnishings found in this home are well on their way to creating the perfect farmhouse. Farmhouse style is one of my favorites so I’m excited to share these pairings with you.
Rattan and bamboo are BACK! This dining room chair is a great accent piece for any table or living space. Rattan/bamboo furniture is extremely versatile and can be used indoors, outdoors, and in almost any style home.
One of my favorite things to do with a chair like this is to mix and match. Find some great upholstered chairs, or a farmhouse bench and match them with two rattan chairs at the ends of the table. This model home has paired these rattan chairs with a farmhouse bench and a farmhouse table. Now, let me show you how to warm this room up. Pair this dining table, rattan dining chairs, and farmhouse bench with an oversized natural fiber area rug, floral curtain panels, and a fresh coat of Simply White by Benjamin Moore on the walls, and you’ve got a warm and bright dining room!
Painting the walls a color like Simply White allows the table and chairs to stand out on their own. Let the bold color of the table become the staple piece in the room. I chose a peacock-inspired floral print for the drapes that will also warm up this space, but not be the focal point of the room. Remember that your walls are now white, so these curtain colors will pop, but not overwhelm the room. Don’t forget to hang your curtains high and wide! Below is one of my favorite illustrations on how to hang your drapes.
Now, to add a pop of color to the room – simply place a oversized 18 x 18 pillow in the two chairs at the head of the table in a natural blue/grey tone. Like this fabric below. You don’t want to over-do it, but this will add just enough to make it stand out! You can also use a neck roll, or bolster pillow if you want something a bit smaller.
I also grabbed these farmhouse butterfly prints from the master bedroom to pair with our new dining room. This artwork has the perfect amount of color to make those pillows you’ve added to the two head chairs pop.
This house is full of so many great pieces to achieve that farmhouse look you’ve been going for. Take a look at all of the pictures under this listing for even more inspiration!
